This can happen if your system employs an old graphics driver or uses the NVIDIA Optimus technology. To solve this issue do the following:
Hit the Windows logo key, type "device manager", and hit the enter key to open the Device Manager. In Device Manager, expand the Display adapters section to identify your graphics card.
Install the latest driver of your NVIDIA, AMD/ATI, Barco, or Intel graphics card. You can download it from http://www.nvidia.com, http://www.amd.com, http://www.barco.com, or http://downloadcenter.intel.com.
- If your program still does not start and you have an NVIDIA graphics card, create an application profile:
- Right-click on an empty region of your desktop and start the NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Go to 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings > Global Settings.
-
Select the High-performance NVIDIA processor.
- Press Apply in the bottom right corner of the window and close the NVIDIA Control Panel.
